OUR GOALS
The political weight and the institutional reputation of CPA play a key role in putting forward ideas and initiatives to help the growth of female cycling.

Goal #1: Riders obtained the same rights as the other cycling families
Constant dialogue with the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the Association Internationale des Organisateurs de Courses Cyclistes (AIOCC) and the association of women’s cycling (UNIO) allow riders to make their voices heard as never before and to take an active part in all the considerations relating to the development of cycling.
Goal #2: Code of Ethics
With UNIO we agreed a Code of Ethics for teams and important improvements in employment contracts: minimum wages, maternity, appropriate compulsory insurance, technical equipment for all female athletes
Goal #3: All riders can have an active part and representation in the CPA
The new statutes with electronic voting, the Riders’ Council and the official entry of women in the CPA guarantee greater representation and involvement of the members in the work of the union.
Goal #4: Ensure the payment of the prizes and make the money flow transparent
The CPA promoted the prize money platform that allows a centralised management in which all stakeholders are involved to ensure transparent and secure money flow. Today it is finally possible to control the payment of prizes and intervene if they are not delivered.
Goal #5: Safety of the riders
The CPA Women has always considered the safety of the athletes as a priority. It is committed to this front through the presence of delegates at the main races and by communication with the riders to understand their concerns and act accordingly.
Since 2023, the CPA Women and the CPA, together with the UCI, the AIOCC, the UNIO and the AIGCP, have been part of SafeR. A project created with the aim of improving the safety of races and reducing the number of accidents.

- Encourage the organisation of races in countries where women’s cycling is not yet fully developed
- Adjusting the women’s prize money
