WHO WE ARE?

The international association CPA Women defends the interests
of female cyclists, is committed to represents their members within the UCI and with cycling institutions.

In 2017, CPA opened its doors to a number of high-level women athletes striving to find an association to represent them and their interests, much in the same way as men athletes are represented.
This is how, thanks to the input of former word road race champion Alessandra Cappellotto, CPA Women came to life as the women’s chapter/section of the international riders association.
To this day, Alessandra serves as CPA Women Manager and as CPA vice-president.
The president of the CPA is former rider Adam Hansen.

HOW DOES CPA WOMEN WORK?

CPA Women is the only international association of professional female cyclists recognized by the UCI.

CPA Women works through/with the help of a number of national associations that make up CPA.

The national unions will report the needs of their local athletes to the central committee to enable national and international action.

This federative model is the best way to provide athletes with better assistance in case any contractual, legal, or tax-related needs arise in their home countries.

The athletes will be able to turn to the national associations for training and reintegration into the labour market at the end of their careers and to take part in any activities or initiatives carried out locally.

At the same time, riders joining CPA Women will be able to turn to the international association for all broader matters concerning cycling institutions and that are connected with their interests, the improvement of their working conditions, the protection of their image, and much more.

The following national associations have joined CPA so far: ACCPI (Italy), APCP (Portugal), ACP (Spain), ACPS (Switzerland), UNCP (France), BPCA (Belgium), ANAPRC (North America), AAPC (Australia), SKZP (Poland), ASCICOL (Colombia).

If there is no national association local to you, you can join CPA Women directly.

The main interlocutors of the CPA include the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), the UNIO (UCI Women Cycling Teams Association) and the AIOCC (Association Internationale des Organisateurs de Courses Cyclistes).
