Following an amendment to the UCI Riders’ Agents Regulations approved by the UCI Management Committee, the obligations relating to riders’ agents which previously applied only to riders negotiating with or contractually bound to UCI WorldTeams and UCI ProTeams will extend to women riders negotiating with or contractually bound to UCI Women’s WorldTeams and UCI Women’s ProTeams. The amendments to Regulations have been published on the UCI website and will be effective from 1 July 2026.
In this context, should a rider be represented by an agent (as defined in the UCI Riders’ Agents Regulations) or wish to be, such representation must be provided exclusively by a UCI licenced riders’ agent. In accordance with Article 4 of the UCI Riders’ Agents Regulations, exceptions may apply where the rider is represented by a lawyer legally authorised to practice in compliance with the rules in force in his country of domicile or a close family member, i.e. a parent, brother, sister or spouse.
